For our blend, we have defined two different Intensities of Taste, corresponding to two different roasting curves: the Classic taste and the Intense taste.
For lovers of soft and velvety tastes we recommend the Classic Toasted, while for those who love a full and full-bodied taste the Intense Toasted is ideal.

The Iperespresso capsules are available for espresso and American coffee (usable with the Iperespresso Coffee machines) in the Classic Toasted, Intense Toasted and Decaffeinated types. In addition, Arabica Selection Costa Rica, Brazil, Guatemala, India, Ethiopia and Colombia are available.

Iperespresso capsules work exclusively with the Iperespresso Method, a closed portioned system that can be used with our Y3.3, X7.1 and X1 anniversary coffee machines.

Yes, illy has partnered with leading industry organizations to provide an innovative solution to recycle Iperespresso coffee capsules. By collecting your used capsules and delivering them to our courier, your used capsules will be recycled and you’ll be diverting waste from landfills.

Arabica Selection is the selection of some of the origins of Arabica coffee that make up the unique illy blend. These are the Arabica coffees that we select in Costa Rica, India, Brazil, Guatemala, Ethiopia and Colombia, offered in purity.

The origin of each Arabica coffee determines a distinctive aromatic profile. Thanks to a dedicated roasting for each one, we enhance the individual taste notes: the floral notes of Ethiopian coffee, those of black pepper and extra dark chocolate from India, chocolate from Guatemala, caramel from Brazil and the fruity ones from Colombia.

illy Instant Coffee is the new soluble coffee made with the unmistakable illy blend consisting of 9 of the best Arabica beans. It is cold worked with the most advanced technologies, to offer the best coffee, even instant. The addition of illy ground coffee to the soluble flakes is the extra touch that enhances the aroma of the preparation.

illy Cold Brew is a natural coffee-based soft drink, prepared with the cold extraction system, which enhances the unique illy blend 100% Arabica. Served on tap, illy Cold Brew is the result of 12 hours of infusion, which allows you to better preserve all the aromas of the coffee, enhancing its taste. It is available in the Classic Toasted version and does not contain any added flavorings or additives.

For pod and ground coffee machines, detergent tablets must be used to remove residual grease from both the filter and the filter holder. 
For Iperespresso machines, the descaler must be used. Both products can be purchased in our online shop .

The illy Art Collections are special sets of cups that since 1992 combine the pleasure of tasting with that of contemporary art. They are interpreted by the greatest contemporary artists on an international level and represent real pieces of art. Each of them bears the artist's signature on the bottom and a serial number attesting to its limited edition.

We recommend that you wash the illy Art Collection cups by hand.

The cups of the illy Art Collection are on sale until exhaustion on our online shop. Older collections are exchanged between collectors, however we do not promote any collecting sites.

Our cans containing ground coffee are made of tinplate, a material that fully complies with current legislation on packaging recycling and is highly recyclable, since it can be easily separated from the rest of the metal waste using magnets present in waste treatment plants.

The ESE pods are certified compostable and can be conferred in the organic collection.

The material of which our Iperespresso capsules are made is polypropylene, which, thanks to its technological performance, resists the pressure generated by the capsule, necessary to guarantee an excellent result in the cup. Disposal of the capsule in different countries is linked to local waste management legislation. In fact, it is possible to recycle the plastic, separating it from the organic matter and transferring the two materials to the appropriate separate collection, or to waste-to-energy the entire capsule, as polypropylene develops those high temperatures that allow waste to be burned by developing electricity, without producing dioxins.

Our Iperespresso capsules are made of polypropylene, a material that resists the pressure generated by the capsule, which is necessary to guarantee an excellent result in the cup, thanks to its technological performance. Compostable plastics and other compostable materials do not currently have the technical characteristics to withstand high pressures without compromising the final quality of the coffee.
